Sore nipples are a common breastfeeding problem—especially during the first few days and weeks after birth. Already during pregnancy, the mother’s nipples can become sensitive and irritated, and with the start of breastfeeding, the discomfort usually worsens since the nipples first have to adapt to the baby’s strong suck.

My name is Ann-Katrin Hiller and I am a midwife at Team Livella. I have been practising this amazing profession for 10 years. As a midwife, I support women throughout the unique journey that is pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
What makes this profession my passion is that I get to provide mums-to-be not only with medical support, but also with emotional security. It is a very special time which is accompanied by questions, worries and fears, and I provide the necessary security and reassurance so that future parents can go through this phase in a relaxed manner.
I am really proud of guiding families through these crucial moments and giving them strength when they need it. Having a direct impact on the wellbeing of new mothers and their newborns makes my work deeply meaningful.
